"Negus in Paris" / by Tatiana Thomas

Saturday, August 12, 2017 was a good day.

The night before had ended with me literally freaking out because I made a mistake and nearly ruined the 2 pieces I'd created specifically for the art show. I almost cried...and if you know me, you know that as in touch with my feelings and emotions as I am...I am NOT a "cryer".  However, in that moment, everything I'd created was going to "hell in a hand basket" and there was nothing I could do about it.

Needless to say, everything worked out. God worked it out for me and at 4pm on Saturday I entered into a room of strangers - and I had no idea what to expect. But I was excited nonetheless.

It was an evening full of art. Visual art. Performing art. Art lovers. New art. Young art. Culinary art (food!).

I walked into a room full of strangers and it felt like home.

I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to be surrounded by such positivity and good vibes. Below are some images from the night, but the pictures don't do it justice.

Special thanks to my new favorite people Ruejean & Visions 2 Life Events for putting together this awesomeness! And Jes Perez for reaching out & making the connection! [follow them all on instagram NOW!]
